Send email reminders from a Google Sheet
Keep the people you book in a sheet, and have each of them emailed before their booking, without a mail merge and without the sheet open.
Set it up
- Add a column with each person's email address. A cell can hold several, separated by commas (a parent and a student); each gets their own email.
- Open ScheduleRow (Extensions → ScheduleRow → Open), tick Send email reminders, and choose how long before: from 30 minutes to a week.
- Choose who gets them: the people in the contact column, you, or both. Reminding yourself suits deadlines, bills and renewals.
- Add your business name, shown as the sender, and a message of your own if you like. It can include the row's {title}, {when}, {location} and {notes}.
- Press Save and sync.
How the reminders behave
- They go out from ScheduleRow's own server, so nothing depends on the sheet or your computer being open.
- Replies come to you. Each reminder has a one-click unsubscribe link, and someone who unsubscribes isn't emailed again.
- Change a booking's time and the reminder follows it. Cancel the row and no reminder goes out.
Only email people who expect to hear from you about their booking.
